Agenda (Plan of attack)

Friday night around 7:00 pm, July 17th, we are planning to try and meet up at JCT Kitchen & Bar for a cocktail at the bar. There is no formal dinner, so if you want to have dinner, you will need to make reservations yourself. There are other restaurants within walking distance from here.

Saturday, July 18th is the day of the event, starting at 8:00 am. The space will be open before then, so if you want to come earlier (hey, it is a bar 'camp' after all) please feel free to do so. At 8:15 am sharp, we will hand out markers and post-it notes to anyone who wants to give a presentation.

If you are going to present, write down your three to five worded topic and stick to any available slot on the big board. We will provide a map of the presentation rooms and also post the list of topic schedules at each break out location.

Depending on final attendee size, we can break out into a maximum of six rooms. With nine sessions slots available, we can have a maximum of 54 presentation sessions. Four larger sessions can host 40-50 seated each, plus another 40 standing each. We also have 2 more smaller sessions that can host a more intimate gathering, around 20 and 15 seated respectively. We will post the seating capacity on the big board so, please sign up accordingly at 8:15 am. The agenda schedule is posted in the sidebar to the right of this page.

All break out sessions will have a projector and screen. Projectors will have a screen capable of 1024 x 768 resolution. We 'might' have a microphone and speakers for the larger four session areas.

At 1:00 pm, the event is officially over. We need to be out of the building by 1:15 pm, for there's another event that evening. We can hang out outside, just be sure to not be inside after 1:15 pm. In case you are interested, we've selected Taqueria del Sol restaurant for lunch and margaritas.

Also, the Breakfast and T-shirts are only available for folks that register online. Updated July 13: Based upon budget constraints, we had to limit the availability of breakfast and t-shirts to the first 275 registered attendees.

Catered Continental Breakfast Only for the first 275 registered attendees

Breakfast is going to be in a continental-style format. We will have fresh baked muffins, scones, pastries, seasonal fresh fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice and grapefruit juice. We will also have fresh coffee, decaffeinated coffee, teas, and self serve beverage stations.

We will have an outdoor patio for eating and have bar table tops behind some of the presentations. And you can always eat at the bar downstairs (Old Food Studio restaurant) or in your seat at a given presentation.

What should you bring...

Basically, not much, just leave the rest us to us. Please do bring your digital cameras, video cameras, HD video camcorders, laptops and microphones!

If you are planning on giving a presentation, you will need to bring your laptop and any necessary cords you might need. We will be providing screens and projectors, but if you like to bring your own projector, that's fine. All projectors are capable of displaying 1024 x 768 screen resolution and each will have a SVGA port. Mac folks need to bring should bring your DVI convertor thingy.
